Both appointments are effective October 01, 2018.

Stanley, who is currently regional head of financial lines for Asia-Pacific, will succeed Doug White, who will head Chubb’s newly created major accounts division for Asia-Pacific.

In his new role, Stanley will be responsible for the growth and financial results of Chubb’s operations in Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau across all lines of business including property & casualty, accident & health, and personal lines. He will report to Paul McNamee, regional president for Chubb in Asia-Pacific, and will relocate from Singapore to his native Hong Kong.

“I’m delighted to have Stanley step up to the role as country president,” McNamee said. “He is sharp, energetic and ready to bring his talents, leadership and insurance management skills to his new role. I have every confidence in his abilities and skills to drive sustained growth and profitability for the territories he will be leading.”

Meanwhile, Douglas will have oversight for the full range of products and services for the property & casualty business in Hong Kong.

The current head of financial lines for Greater China, he joined Chubb in 2005 as a financial lines manager in charge of the China portfolio. He will succeed Patrick Wong, who will assume the role of global client executive, North Asia, on October 01.
