Cigna has announced the appointment of two new executives within its regional distribution unit to boost its presence across the region.

The international insurer has added Ray Bond as regional head of distribution – individual health, and Raymond Ng as regional head of distribution – global health benefits.

Both will be based in Hong Kong and joined the leadership team of the insurer’s APAC business in February, it has been announced.

“These appointments highlight Cigna’s commitment to the Asia Pacific region and strengthen our distribution platform which delivers Cigna’s solutions to individuals and businesses across Asia Pacific,” Patrick Graham, CEO Asia Pacific, Cigna International Markets, said of the appointments.

Bond will be tasked with expanding Cigna’s global individual private medical insurance (IPMI) product throughout the region. Joining from AXA, Bond has more than 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry and was most recently head of Asia at AXA Global Protect.

Ng has more than a decade of experience in leadership roles in Asia and joined Cigna in 2010 as sales director in Singapore before becoming regional vice president, Asia Pacific, global health benefits.
