Seach, who became head of GC&C Asia in 2014, was promoted to COO, effective April 01. In his new role, he is in charge of steering Generali GC&C’s global operations, IT, technical underwriting, and portfolio management. He has over two decades of underwriting experience in the commercial general insurance sector, specializing in corporate market insurance, with a wealth of diverse experience gained in many markets across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. He has also held senior positions with a number of leading international insurance and reinsurance companies.

Meanwhile, Roesner will be in charge of ensuring the fulfilment of the group’s strategy in the GC&C segment in the region. Roesner has over 12 years of insurance industry experience in leading strategy execution, business development, and operational excellence. In his previous role, he led operations, IT and business transformation for the corporate and commercial segment across Asia. Prior to joining Generali, he held various senior roles in a leading international insurance company in pricing & analytics and underwriting operations.

Effective July 01, Chiu, former general manager for non-life business at Generali Hong Kong, will take on the role of senior advisor to share his in-depth knowledge and insights. He has over three decades of experience in the commercial insurance sector focusing on Hong Kong and the overall Asian market. He held senior positions in various leading international companies, managing business functions such as underwriting, claims, distribution, and reinsurance.

“I am delighted to see how we have been able to leverage on our internal capabilities and groom our talents,” said Paolo Ribotta, Generali GC&C chief executive officer, regarding the appointments. “I am sure that Hayden, at a global level, and Axel and Furmen in the Asia region, will strongly contribute to the execution of our strategy. GC&C’s DNA is to have strong empowerment and accountability, brought as close as possible to the client in order to add value beyond the policy. We are committed to being our customers’ life-time partner, offering them a seamless experience through a value-added service. Our role is not only to be a capacity provider but to be serving the corporate customers and the ecosystem around them helping their business succeed.”
