International General Insurance Holdings has hired Robin Sidders (pictured) as head of investor relations, effective January 13.

Based in London, Sidders will work closely with the executive team and senior management to design and lead the company’s investor relations strategy, a statement from IGI said. She will focus on financial communications, corporate access and visibility, and relationships with the investment community, as well as playing an important role in IGI’s transition to a public company framework.

This comes amid IGI’s move to be listed on the NASDAQ, through its business combination agreement with US-based Tiberius Acquisition Corporation. The listing is expected to occur within the first quarter of 2020, subject to regulatory approvals.

Sidders has over 25 years’ experience in financial communications and investor relations. She has served as director for investor relations at PartnerRe for over 14 years, and oversaw the company going through significant business, regulatory, and leadership changes, culminating in the sale and delisting of PartnerRe.

“We are delighted to bring Robin on board to join the IGI team,” said IGI chief executive Wasef Jabsheh. “IGI is on the brink of an important transition in its evolution, and Robin, with her many years of public company experience and knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance market, will play an important role in this transition.”
