Insurance advisory, life insurance, and legal services businesses have announced leadership changes across Asia, including appointments covering Hong Kong, India, and several regional markets.

The changes include AIA Group’s appointment of Edward Moncreiffe as regional chief executive, WTW’s appointment of Greg Solomon (pictured) to lead its Insurance Consulting & Technology (ICT) business in Hong Kong, and Clyde & Co’s addition of an aviation partner in Hong Kong. IndusInd Securities has also appointed Rajeev R. Srivastava as managing director and CEO, with a mandate covering digital services and geographic expansion.

AIA appoints regional chief executive for four markets

AIA Group has appointed Edward Moncreiffe as regional chief executive, effective November 2, 2026. He will oversee India, Sri Lanka, Australia, and New Zealand, join the group’s executive committee, and report to group CEO and president Lee Yuan Siong.

According to AIA’s October 23 announcement, Moncreiffe most recently served as CEO of insurance at HSBC Group. In that position, he oversaw life and health insurance operations in Hong Kong, Macau, the Chinese mainland, Singapore, India, Malta, Bermuda, and Mexico, as well as insurance distribution units globally.

He previously served as CEO of HSBC Life in Hong Kong and Macau. His 20 years of leadership experience span insurance, wealth, and strategy roles across the UK, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

Moncreiffe has also served as chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI), Matilda International Hospital, and City Mental Health Alliance Hong Kong. He represents Asia-Pacific on the executive council of the International Insurance Society.

AIA said the appointment would place Moncreiffe in charge of four markets with distinct business priorities.

Lee said: “Edward brings deep insurance expertise, extensive international experience, and a strong track record of growing businesses and strengthening market positions.”

Lee also cited Moncreiffe’s understanding of customers and distribution as relevant to working with market leadership teams on the next phase of the group’s development.

Moncreiffe said he looked forward to working with the leadership teams in the four markets, adding that each had “distinct strengths, priorities, and opportunities.”

WTW brings back insurance consulting leader in Hong Kong

WTW has appointed Greg Solomon as market leader for its ICT business in Hong Kong, according to the company’s announcement on October 26, 2026.

Solomon returns to WTW with more than 30 years of experience across insurance, reinsurance, and actuarial work. Since 2020, he has run Eigengrey Consulting, advising insurers and reinsurers on strategy, market expansion, financial optimisation, pricing and modelling, and risk and capital management.

Previously, he led Peak Re’s global Life & Health business and served as managing director and head of life & health, international, at Willis Re. Earlier in his career, he held actuarial and leadership positions at Swiss Re.

In his new role, Solomon will lead the development of WTW’s ICT business in Hong Kong, with a focus on client relationships and business development. The company said he would work with its local team and regional specialists to support insurers’ risk and capital management priorities.

Ali Bunn, head of ICT for Asia Pacific at WTW, said: “We are delighted to welcome Greg back to WTW. His experience across insurance, reinsurance and consulting will bring valuable perspective to our work with clients in Hong Kong.”

Bunn added that the company was seeing market interest in its consulting and technology services, with Solomon expected to focus on client relationships and business development.

IndusInd Securities appoints managing director and CEO

IndusInd Securities Ltd., formerly Reliance Securities Ltd., has appointed Rajeev R. Srivastava as managing director and CEO, according to a report by The Economic Times’ BFSI platform.

Srivastava has nearly 25 years of experience across banking, financial services, and capital markets. He most recently served as managing director and CEO of Standard Chartered Securities, having previously held senior leadership positions at HDFC Securities, Reliance Securities, and ICICI Bank. He holds a science degree and an MBA in marketing.

At IndusInd Securities, Srivastava will focus on developing the company’s brokerage business, including the use of data and artificial intelligence to provide personalised research and advice. His remit also includes improving the client experience across digital platforms and expanding the company’s presence in new geographies.

Roopam Asthana, executive director and CEO of IndusInd Capital Ltd., said: “Rajeev joins IndusInd Securities at a pivotal moment, as we reimagine the business as a robust, digitally enabled capital markets franchise built for the next generation of Indian investors.”

Asthana said Srivastava’s industry experience and experience scaling businesses would support the company’s plans.

Clyde & Co adds aviation partner in Hong Kong

Clyde & Co has appointed Tannie Kwong as an aviation partner in Hong Kong, expanding its legal services for aviation businesses across Asia Pacific. The firm also appointed Dave Pflieger as an aviation partner based in Atlanta, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.

Kwong joins from Cathay Pacific, where he served as senior legal counsel responsible for disputes and, most recently, head of customer support. In the latter role, he led a global team of more than 250 people responsible for customer enquiries and complaints, passenger claims, customer social media, and service recovery during disruptions.

He has nearly 20 years of legal experience, including 14 years focused on trade and transport, and previously practised transport and commercial litigation in Sydney.

Clyde & Co said Kwong would advise aviation clients in Asia Pacific on passenger claims, regulatory compliance, legal risk management, and consumer regulation. His work will also cover reviews of conditions of carriage and the use of technology and automation in handling customer-related issues.

Pflieger brings more than 30 years of legal, financial, commercial, operational, and aviation safety experience. He has held senior executive roles at several airlines, including Virgin America, Delta Air Lines, Fiji Airways, Silver Airways, and Flybe.

The firm said the appointments come as aviation operators, investors, manufacturers, lessors, and insurers face regulatory, financing, operational, and sustainability challenges.

It cited industry forecasts that global passenger traffic could more than double over the next two decades and that the sector would require more than 40,000 new aircraft over the same period.

Kevin Sutherland, partner and chair of Clyde & Co’s global aviation practice group, said: “Aviation remains one of the most international and highly regulated sectors in which our clients operate.”

He added that the new partners’ airline-side experience would help clients address legal issues and understand how decisions are implemented across management, legal, operational, and customer-facing functions.

Clyde & Co said its global aviation practice includes 120 aviation attorneys within a firm of more than 3,200 lawyers operating across more than 70 offices worldwide.
