MS Amlin has appointed William Ho (pictured) as CEO of the company’s Asia-Pacific operations, subject to regulatory approval. He will succeed Simon Clarke, who is stepping down after 10 years with the firm.

Ho, who is currently head of reinsurance for Asia, joined MS Amlin in 2012 and was initially based in London. In 2014, he took the reins of the company’s reinsurance business in Asia, and relocated to Singapore.

Prior to joining MS Amlin, Ho held several broking and underwriting roles in various firms, such as Hardy Underwriting, Faraday Reinsurance Company, and Alwen Hough Johnson.

“Since joining MS Amlin, Will has been an integral part of the reinsurance senior leadership team, originally in London and more recently in Singapore,” said Tom Clementi, CEO of MS Amlin Underwriting Ltd. “Will has a wealth of experience that will be invaluable to the business going forwards.

“Simon Clarke has been at MS Amlin for the last 10 years and has led our business in Asia over that period with distinction. I would like to thank Simon personally for his energy and dedication to the business and wish him the very best for the future.”
