The Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS) will offer courses for the certification of risk management professionals in tandem with universities in Singapore, Canada, and the US.

Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the University of Toronto, and New York’s Yeshiva University have partnered with RIMS to offer a RIMS-certified Risk Management Professionals certification (RIMS-CRMP) preparatory course.

The course’s contents are aligned with the five domains covered by the RIMS-CRMP examinations, namely:

  • Analysing the business model
  • Designing organisational risk strategies
  • Implementing the risk process
  • Developing organisational risk competency
  • Supporting decision making

NTU has already started offering the program, while the other two universities will open registration in September 2018.

“The RIMS-CRMP offers undeniable opportunities for risk professionals to showcase their industry knowledge and commitment to professional development,” said RIMS chief executive Mary Roth. “The society is proud to work with these universities, to support them through the development and implementation processes and to continue to provide the world’s risk management community with advantages to excel professionally.”
