Sun Life Financial Inc., a Canada-based global insurance company, has appointed Jeremy Young as its chief marketing officer for the Asian region, effective immediately.
 
Young will be based in Hong Kong and report to Roger Steel, president of new markets and business development at Sun Life Asia. Steel commented on the appointment: “With strong personal networks and a commitment to our high-performance culture, we are confident that Jeremy will transition smoothly into his new regional role. As an accomplished athlete, his energy, enthusiasm and can-do attitude will undoubtedly help us build our brand in Asia and support our global goal of building clients for life.”

In cooperation with seven other chief marketing officers in Sun Life’s seven markets in Asia, Young will focus on deploying and strengthening client-centric solutions, advancing the regional alignment and implementation of the brand, and leading client and adviser programmes.
 
Prior to the appointment, Young was chief marketing officer of Sun Life Hong Kong, where he first joined as vice president of partnership distribution in 2008, where he worked on the development of the bancassurance and independent financial adviser channels.
