Talbot Underwriting expands political risk and credit team

Talbot Underwriting has made appointments to their global political risk and credit teams, based in Singapore and London.

Jonathan Goh has joined the firm’s Singapore office as political risk and credit underwriter. Before being hired, he was a senior political risk and credit underwriter for Zurich Insurance. Prior to that, he was political risk underwriter for Asia-Pacific at Canopius. Goh obtained his MBA from Harvard Business School.

“Jonathan brings a wealth of experience and further boosts our expanding offering in the Asia-Pacific region,” commented John Ewington, Talbot Singapore CEO. “As we continue to invest in this product and region, I’m pleased that an accomplished underwriter of his calibre has joined the team.”

Meanwhile, Russell Fisher was named senior credit analyst based in London, supporting Validus’ offices in London, Singapore, and New York. He was formerly political risk and credit underwriter at Ironshore Europe and Hiscox prior to that. Fisher holds a bachelor of commerce in economics & quantitative management from University of South Africa.

“We’ve gained exceptional talent in Russell and broadened Talbot’s offerings,” said David Morris, active underwriter at Talbot. “This is an exciting development for the team as it positions itself for future growth.”
