Arch UK is revamping its Bristol office with the promotion of Julie Collins to branch manager, effective immediately. Collins succeeds Ruth Hitchcox, who has been appointed to the new position of national production improvement lead.

In this new role, Collins will be responsible for managing all aspects of day-to-day operations in the Bristol office, overseeing its 13-strong team, enhancing support for broker partners, and delivering on the insurer’s growth plans for the South-West.

According to her LinkedIn, Collins previously held the positions of broker relationship development manager and transformation support manager for Arch UK. She also previously worked at Covea, Arista Insurance, and NIG Insurance.

In addition to Collins, Arch UK also announced the appointment of Stuart Hawker as broker relationship development manager for the Bristol Office. Hawker joins from Allianz, his firm of over 14 years, where he worked as business development manager.

Collins will report to Arch UK national director, branch network Neil Peters.

“Julie is a highly respected and experienced insurance practitioner. She has an outstanding reputation with our broker partners and will continue to build on the success that Ruth has helped us to achieve over the last five years,” Peters said. “I am delighted that Ruth is taking on this new role as we look to drive efficiency and further enhance our ability to serve our brokers. The South-West is a key region for Arch, we have recently invested in new premises and are continuing to grow our presence, including hiring top-level talent such as Stuart Hawker.”

This is just the latest in a series of expansions made by Arch UK. Just a few days ago, the insurer also announced the promotion of Kirsty Blois underwriting manager for miscellaneous and emerging professional indemnity (PI).
