The National Reinsurance Corporation of the Philippines (Nat Re) has appointed Allan Rossi Santos (pictured) as its president and chief executive officer, succeeding Augusto Hidalgo III.

Santos, whose term began on August 16, was previously executive vice president and chief operating officer of Nat Re, where he was in charge of finance, investments, data and analytics, technology, human resources, and office services. He has over 25 years of experience in re/insurance across multiple markets in Asia, Europe, and North America.

The reinsurer has also recently appointed Christian Ladoux as chief underwriting officer and Tisha Darvin as head of data and analytics.

Ladoux joins Nat Re from the Singapore branch of Arab Insurance Group, where he was general manager and CEO. He has more than 35 years’ experience in reinsurance underwriting in various markets in East and Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Indian subcontinent.

Meanwhile, Darvin is a veteran actuary of over 25 years, with expertise in product development, mergers and acquisitions, demutualization, distribution channels compensation, financial planning and analysis, employee benefits valuation, and actuarial studies. Previously, she was chief actuary, head of product development, and head of corporate actuarial services at a leading Philippine life insurance company.

“We will continue to build on our achievements thus far to meet new milestones, conquer more challenges, and provide better services to our clients, partners, and shareholders,” Santos said.   “We look forward to further strengthening the business and expanding our horizons.”
