TransRe reveals changes to regional leadership

TransRe has made a couple of key appointments for its regional leadership teams, as well as its business development function.

Louise Rose has been appointed CEO of TransRe London Limited, effective September 01, 2019. Rose’s appointment – subject to regulatory approval – is part of the company’s planned succession strategy, as she succeeds Geoff Peach who retires after serving TransRe for 27 years.

Rose joined TransRe in 1997 from the National Vulcan Engineering Insurance Group, first serving as an assistant underwriter. In that role, she specialised in engineering and the construction business. She then worked across multiple lines of businesses and served in roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as head of property, aviation, accident & health and engineering. Rose was later appointed deputy CEO in 2017.

Kyle Rhodes has been named CEO of TransRe Asia-Pacific – a newly-created position. He will be responsible for overseeing TransRe’s four regional offices, supporting the regional team as they develop and grow their customer and broker relationships.

Rhodes joined TransRe in 2006, joining from Employers Re. While in TransRe’s US custom division, he formed and led the national & specialty team. Rhodes later led the US custom division itself from 2012 to 2016. Most recently, he created and led TransRe’s business development unit.

Both Rose and Rhodes will report to TransRe European, Middle Eastern, African and Asia-Pacific president Paul Bonny.

Meanwhile, succeeding Rhodes as the new global head of business development for TransRe is Francesca Marc-Antonio. She joins from JLT Re, where she was global head of client relationship management. Prior to joining JLT Re, she spent 17 at Swiss Re, where she held a number of roles – ultimately as head of marketing for the US P&C broker team, as well as head of the global broker group.

In her new role, Marc-Antonio will report to TransRe president and CEO Mike Sapnar.

The leadership shuffle comes after TransRe merged its North America and Latin America divisions into one in April – TransRe Americas – following the retirement of Latin America & Caribbean division CEO Javier Vijil.
