Zurich Malaysia officially inaugurated its new flagship branch in Kuching on February 25. It is a four-storey facility located at GalaCity Prime on Jalan Tun Jugah Road.

According to a company statement, the branch applies a contemporary layout that is in line with its “one-Zurich” approach. It caters to both conventional insurance and takaful customers in the state of Sarawak, which accounts for around 9% of Zurich Malaysia’s 2.4 million customers.

In late 2018, the insurer relocated its head office in Kuala Lumpur, moving the headquarters for all its Malaysian entities under one roof.

The branch has a total area of 22,471 square feet and houses a servicing front office, discussion and consultation areas, training rooms, as well as working areas and kiosks for agents. A café-style pantry complete with coffee machine is also available for customers’ use.

A total of 19 employees are based in the branch, supporting more than 500 life insurance and family takaful agents, as well as 100 general insurance and takaful distributors in Sarawak.

“Zurich Malaysia is continuously evolving to serve and meet the needs of our customers better,” said Zurich Malaysia country head Stephen Clark. “This new Kuching office emphasises our focus on providing customers with improved experience and greater convenience through customer-friendly services and facilities based on our one-Zurich approach. We strive to make protection more attainable, approachable and simple for customers, to enhance their Malaysian lifestyle.”
