FWD Life Insurance Philippines (FWD Philippines) and Security Bank Corporation have announced the renewal of their partnership, continuing efforts to enhance financial inclusion and accessibility across the Philippines.
Established nearly a decade ago, the collaboration leverages digital tools and customer-focused strategies to deliver integrated insurance and banking solutions.
The alliance has been recognised as one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-expanding bancassurance initiatives. Data-driven approaches implemented in 2021 helped propel FWD Philippines from the sixth to third spot in the Insurance Commission’s rankings for 2022.
FWD group managing director Binayak Dutta (pictured standing, second to the left) highlighted the shared goals underpinning the partnership.
“We are continuing our partnership with Security Bank and remain dedicated to delivering accessible consumer-focused products. We will push reshaping the industry by changing the way people feel about insurance,” he said.
Security Bank president and CEO Sanjiv Vohra (pictured sitting, third to the left) stressed the importance of the collaboration in addressing the evolving needs of Filipino families.
“Our partnership with FWD Life Insurance has always gone beyond business. It is a bond rooted in our shared vision of empowering Filipinos with the tools and protection to lead worry-free, fulfilling lives,” he said.
FWD Philippines president and CEO Jumbing De Rosas (pictured sitting, second to the left) echoed these sentiments, emphasising the renewal’s role in fostering financial empowerment.
“Combining our expertise in insurance with Security Bank’s trusted banking services, we hope to empower more Filipinos to achieve financial independence and to celebrate living the best way they know how,” he said.
FWD Group has also extended its leadership development initiative in partnership with global business school INSEAD.
The program, known as FWD Elite Signature, supports the professional growth of agency leaders in the Philippines and other Asian markets.
The program includes an intensive five-day training session at INSEAD’s Fontainebleau campus in France, covering topics such as leadership strategies, sales management, entrepreneurship, and the integration of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence.
Participants receive six months of follow-up coaching and access to an alumni network for continued learning and professional development.
Arnolfo “Nol” de Leon, head of agency at FWD Philippines, stated that the program aligns with FWD’s strategy to enhance agents’ capabilities, enabling them to better serve clients while growing their own practices.
