Based in Guy Carpenter’s Singapore office, J. Kelvin Kumar is part of the APAC agriculture team and currently responsible for Agriculture Treaty broking. Besides agriculture, he is also part of the Regional & Multinational team and is an instrumental team member in developing this segment within the company. Additionally, Kelvin is also the lead broker for Indian treaty business.
As a treaty broker, he tries to bridge the gap and enable clear communication between reinsurers and clients. Noted in his office for his openness and fair dealing, Kelvin Nominated to the Top 3 Lloyds Asia Treaty Broker of the Year Awards in 2019, and aspires to become a specialist in his current role.
Looking even further ahead, he aims to take on a leadership role in his current organization. Kelvin has provided critical help to his co-workers in understanding the Indian insurance market. He also provided timely input and information about clients and submission during the last renewal, which enables Guy Carpenter to make its underwriting decisions with more clarity.
