There has been a key promotion at Ageas Insurance Limited – with Glyn Hughes stepping into the key leadership role of director of motor underwriting.
Hughes will report to underwriting director Niraj Shah in his new role having held a number of leadership positions across pricing, key broker account management and underwriting support for the company. He originally joined Groupama back in 2006 before moving across to Ageas in 2012.
“Glyn’s appointment into this important role is another fantastic example of how we nurture existing talent within Ageas,” commented François-Xavier Boisseau, CEO insurance.
“Over the last decade Glyn has been a key contributor to our ongoing success, having held a variety of senior roles from championing our pricing strategies, managing our key broker accounts and, most recently, leading some of our Underwriting support functions. I’m delighted that Glyn is able to take advantage of this opportunity as we continue to provide best in class service to our brokers and intermediary partners.”
Hughes will spend the next few months working alongside Kevin Kiernan, who is leaving Ageas in early 2017.
