Brit is attempting to boost its property offering with a major swoop – picking up a top executive from Marsh.

Neil Walker was UK placement leader for Marsh Propositions and led the strategic development of a number of lines at the firm – including healthcare, public sector, education and private clients. He joined the global brokerage giant back in 2003 having also held roles at Aon and HSBC Insurance Brokers.

Now, however, he has moved to Brit, reporting to divisional director Tom Hillier and taking the position of head of UK property. According to a release, Walker will be responsible for leading and building out the firm’s UK property offering while also working with its specialist liability team to align both the property and casualty propositions.

“I’m pleased to welcome Neil to Brit, and look forward to him helping expand our UK Property presence,” said Brit CEO Matthew Wilson. “His track-record, as a broker, of working with both insurers and clients to develop bespoke and innovative solutions will prove valuable experience.”
