Zoe Knight (pictured), who joined NFU Mutual in 2019, has become the insurer’s first-ever head of commercial.

“I am delighted to take up the role of head of commercial to lead our commercial growth,” Knight, who previously served as commercial propositions manager, said in an emailed release. “I’m hugely excited with the opportunity we have to grow our non-farm commercial business and meet our long-term ambitions.

“Over the past few years, we’ve become a real player in commercial, and key to this has been the great collaboration within the business and the local knowledge and service provided by our agencies situated around the UK.

“Within our network, we have a number of commercial-focus agencies who provide expert advice across a range of commercial sectors to help us target and grow our business within this market.”

The commercial head started out as a commercial underwriter in 1994, bringing three decades of insurance experience to the newly created role.

“Driving profitable growth through an enhanced commercial proposition is crucial to NFU Mutual’s long-term strategy,” NFU Mutual propositions head Martyn Dyson commented.

“Zoe has already played a critical role in shaping our proposition and business plan for commercial, and I am delighted she will now be taking on accountability as head of commercial to drive forward our ambitious and exciting agenda in this market.”
