As part of its 8th corporate responsibility week, AXA Singapore has launched its ‘Bounce for Good’ campaign, and linked up with the Singapore Cancer Society and SportCares for year-long partnerships.

According to a statement by the insurer, the ‘Bounce for Good’ challenge encourages Singaporeans to support and celebrate people bouncing back from adversity. The campaign will run until July 31, 2018, and invites Singaporeans to share photos and videos of themselves doing an action involving a bounce, including actions such as a jump, leap, or skip.

AXA will donate SG$1 for every video or image posted, and has committed to donate up to a total of SG$50,000 to its corporate responsibility partners Singapore Cancer Society and SportCares. To participate, users must post the video or image on Facebook or Instagram and set to public, with the hashtag #AXABounceForGood and AXA Singapore tagged.

The Singapore Cancer Society works to minimise the impact of cancer through awareness and prevention, and supports those impacted by cancer. Meanwhile, SportCares seeks to utilise sport for social good and empower at-risk and vulnerable individuals to live better through positive sports experiences.

The ‘Bounce for Good’ challenge is part of the wider ‘Bounce Back Stronger’ campaign. Earlier this year, AXA surveyed Singaporean consumers and found that the public lacked understanding and preparedness for the financial implications of critical illnesses. The study showed that only 52% owned critical illness insurance despite almost 9 in 10 saying that it’s likely that they could be diagnosed with a critical illness before turning 65.

“Supporting people when they are in trouble is the purpose of insurance,” said Jean Drouffe, CEO of AXA Singapore. “AXA is taking that a step further to also ensure we are responsible corporate citizens, and we support local communities. Our strategic partnerships with both the Singapore Cancer Society and SportCares are completely aligned with our mission to empower people to live better lives. I am extremely grateful for, and proud of, the active participation of our employees in delivering on AXA’s commitment to the Singapore community. A big thank you to all our staff and agents for volunteering their time and for their generous donations this week.”
