Ong and Coarasa’s appointments are effective immediately, while Callard will start on November 01.

As chief customer & operations officer, Ong is responsible for all customer, information technology (IT) and operations activities of the company, it said in a statement. He joins AXA from NTUC Enterprise, where he was senior vice president of the group CEO office. Ong has extensive experience in both the civil service and commercial sectors, and he has held several management positions across IT, sales, and operations, AXA added.

Coarasa has been with AXA since 2010, and was most recently CFO for AXA Korea. Earlier in his career, he was head of investments and head of strategic planning at AXA Mexico.

Meanwhile, Callard relocates to Singapore from AXA Mexico, where he was head of retail property & casualty. He has extensive experience in operational and functional positions across retail, commercial, and reinsurance lines. Since joining AXA Group in 2000, Callard has held senior positions across multiple countries spanning actuarial, risk, marketing, and reinsurance, the company said.

“I am thrilled to welcome Jeremy, Julien and Mauricio into their new positions,” said Jean Drouffe, CEO of AXA Singapore. “Jeremy’s experience and expertise in customer relations, IT and digital transformation, will be an invaluable addition to the business as we scale efforts to further bolster our IT capabilities and improve services for our customers.”

“I am delighted that we have been able to provide Julien and Mauricio with the platform and support to advance their careers in AXA,” he added. “Both of them come with diverse skillsets and backgrounds that will serve to strengthen our executive committee. I look forward to working alongside all of them in furthering the growth of our business in Singapore.”

The three appointees will be part the executive committee alongside Sean Goh, managing director, life; Kevin Leong, managing director, commercial lines; and Hayley Yap, chief people officer; all reporting to Drouffe. AXA also announced that Goh’s portfolio will be expanded to encompass life distribution, in addition to responsibility for the life strategic business unit.
