The Australian Associated Motor Insurers Limited (AAMI), a general insurance company, has partnered with the National Basketball League (NBL), Australasia’s premier men’s professional basketball league.

“AAMI is one of Australia’s most well-known and respected brands, and we are thrilled to broaden our partnership with them this season,” said Lauren Hansen, NBL’s chief partnerships officer.

“AAMI is proud to partner with the NBL and associate with an Australian League that is well respected and much loved across the nation,” said Mim Haysom, AAMI’s executive general manager of brand and consumer experience.

What does the partnership entail?

The partnership made AAMI the official insurance partner of the NBL for its 2023-24 season. The insurance company was marked as the eighth newest firm to enter a partnership with the NBL for the season which began Sept. 28.

“The NBL continues to go from strength to strength, and AAMI continuing as part of our family of partners shows the trust and faith they have in our League and the broader sport,” said Hansen.

The agreement will also have AAMI’s logo appear on the key of the NBL’s courts alongside Mitsubishi Electric and Blackmores.

“We look forward to what promises to be a mutually beneficial partnership for both parties, as we enter arguably the biggest season in recent history,” said Hansen.

“We’re excited to continue our support and play a role in bringing the game and its incredible athletes and role models to the millions of passionate fans and kids playing basketball around Australia,” said Haysom.

During the past two seasons, AAMI was a broadcast partner for the league.
