Aggregator panel swells with addition of industry giant

A major insurer has joined the travel insurance panel of a burgeoning comparison website, bringing the number of providers to 21.

AIG has joined the panel of travel insurance distributors on comparison website compareinsurance.com.au.

This brings the number of players on the travel insurance panel to 22. Last week, Webjet, whose policies are underwritten by Allianz Global Assistance, joined the panel.

AIG Australia head of consumer insurance Richard Todd said:  “AIG Australia is excited to be partnering with Compareinsurance.com.au to provide Australian travellers with a comprehensive travel insurance program. Providing an extensive range of benefits at an affordable price will give customers a positive travel insurance experience with peace of mind.”

Compareinsurance.com.au director Natalie Ball said the addition of AIG “diversifies the panel” of insurance players.
