Specialist insurer Ansvar Insurance has announced that its annual $250,000 Community Education Program (CEP) is now open for applications.

First awarded in 1994, the CEP grants support sustainable programs for Australians 25 years and under, promoting ongoing education and skills to significantly enhance the lives of participants.

“We want to provide valuable support to improve and enrich the lives of young people so they may be able to contribute positively to the community in which we all live,” said Warren Hutcheon, Ansvar chief executive.

The program has so far contributed more than $10m to education and life-skills programs.

To apply for the program, not-for-profit organisations should show that their programs support Australian youth in one of two categories: empowerment and education, or outreach and support.

Interested parties have until Oct. 15 to file their application. For more information or to apply for the CEP grants program, visit Ansvar’s website.
