ANZIIF has announced the signing of a new international partnership agreement with the Thai Insurance Institute (TII) as it looks to develop its global footprint.

The partnership will see the Institute provide education and training for insurance professionals across Thailand and will see an increased collaboration between the two bodies which have worked together for seven years.

The new deal will see ANZIIF expand its educational offerings in Thailand as training staff will be required to hold ANZIIF equivalent or higher insurance qualifications alongside significant industry experience.

Prue Willsford, CEO of ANZIIF, stressed the importance of the partnership for the organisation and the global insurance industry.

“We are thrilled to enter into a new level of partnership with the TII. This is a wonderful opportunity for both ANZIIF and the TII but, most importantly, it will provide Thai insurance professionals with world-class education and training, which ultimately benefits business, the industry and the consumer,” Willsford said.

“In rapidly expanding insurance markets like Thailand, it is crucial that the industry has well-trained, knowledgeable and skilled staff. Together, this is what ANZIIF and the TII are aiming to support.”

Tadthep Sujitjorn of the Thai Insurance Institute, who was in Melbourne to sign the deal, said that the partnership will help the Thai insurance industry continue its growth and development.

“Knowledge, skills and professionalism underpin the success of our industry,” Sujitjorn said.

“This is why the TII is passionate about the education and professional development of those working in Thai insurance.

“ANZIIF shares our passion and so we are delighted to build on our already strong relationship, to work together so that the Thai insurance industry can go from strength to strength.”
