Applications for icare's 2017 CASE Awards now open

Social insurer icare has announced the opening of applications for icare's 2017 Care & Service Excellence (CASE) Awards, which recognise and reward outstanding service delivery in the NSW workers’ compensation industry.

John Nagle, icare group executive for workers’ insurance, said the CASE Awards, now on its third year, provides a platform for acknowledging individuals and teams who provide excellent service to injured workers and businesses, and in the process, helps drive continuous improvement and innovation across the industry.

“We are thrilled to be announcing applications open for the CASE Awards for 2017,” Nagle said. “The awards are fundamental to recognising those that go above and beyond in serving injured workers, businesses, and the wider industry. Whether it is an individual case manager, a rehabilitation provider, broker, or risk manager – each role is important in preventing injuries and providing the necessary care and support to help those who are injured get back to work and life as soon as possible.”

Applicants for icare's 2017 CASE Awards can nominate themselves or another individual through their respective nominated business representative for the following categories:
  • Young Care and Service Professional of the Year (Under 30);
  • Outstanding Care and Service by an Individual for a) care and support; and b) specialist care services;
  • Outstanding Care and Service by a Team for a) care and support; and b) specialist care services;
  • Excellence and Innovation in Injury Management;
  • Excellence in Improving Employer Performance;
  • Lifetime Achievement; and
  • Customer Excellence.
Entries can be submitted at the CASE Awards website until Oct. 31. Successful award finalists will be notified in November, and winners will be announced on Nov. 29 at a black tie ceremony at the International Convention Centre Sydney.
