Outgoing FM Insurance Company CEO Ian Berg is retiring from his role as director on the ICA board after five years.

The ICA board yesterday accepted his resignation.

Berg served on the ICA Board’s Victorian FSL and Flood sub-committees.
The president and chairman of the ICA Board, Mark Milliner, thanked Berg for his contribution and service.

“On behalf of the ICA Board, I would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Mr Berg for his sterling work and contribution,” he said.

“Mr Berg has served on the ICA Board for more than five years. He has made a significant contribution to the organisation and the insurance industry, helping to steer the ICA and broader general insurance industry forward.

“We will miss his experience and insights, and his passion for the insurance sector and the positive role it plays in the Australian economy and community.”

In December Insurance Business reported that Berg will retire from FM Global on 31 March, after 35 years with the group.
