CGU has been rated as the “overall best insurance underwriter,” in a major survey.

General Insurance Barometer surveyed brokers on their thoughts on the best and brightest underwriting practice in Australia and CGU came out on top.

Ben Bessell, believes the ranking is a strong endorsement of CGU’s focus on excellent service across the brand.
“We are delighted that CGU has been rated the overall number one and best Insurance Underwriter across all key service measures by brokers,” Bessell said.
In more happy reading for IAG, NRMA and CGU ranked joint first across a host of other metrics including the top spot for claims admin, policy admin, sales support, staff knowledge and product design.
“CGU has a clear focus to deliver outstanding service for our partners and customers, and while we know there are many areas where we can still improve, it’s great to be recognised for the hard work we are doing,” Bessell continued.
CGU had more joy in the barometer, taking out the top underwriter spot for households, domestic motor vehicle, professional indemnity and marine.
The broker success follows on from CGU’s
customer experience award in the inaugural Best Customer Experience List of Australia in December last year.
