Austagencies has appointed Alex Green to general manager distribution having spent the last 18 years at Royal Sun Alliance, Vero and Suncorp where he was head of casualty.

In his new role, Green will oversee the development of our distribution capability with Longitude (Strata), 5Star (motor dealerships), Cinesure (film & TV), CEMAC (plant & equipment), ABCU (bus & coach), Tasman (professional indemnity) and Lawsons (labour hire & specialty casualty) where we aim to provide brokers with a more detailed proposition.

Craig Patterson, MD of Austagencies, said the appointment will further enhance the team’s expertise and success: “I am delighted to have someone with Alex’s acumen and proven track record joining us in this key role. I believe Alex’s combined analytical and commercial skills will complement Austagencies management team in supporting broker partnerships.”

Commenting on his new role Green said: “I am really excited about this role. There is a huge opportunity to blend insights I have gained from the Vero corporate experience, with the strengths of this customer focused organisation.

“Austagencies provides the perfect opportunity for me to take full advantage of the experience that I have gained over my career. I am looking forward to working with this highly professional group that has a demonstrated track record of being, what I would describe as the ‘best in breed’ agency in Australia. Austagencies are perfectly positioned to build on the success that they have consistently achieved over the past five years.”
