Chubb makes Asia Pac appointments

A global insurer has made three senior appointments to its business in Asia Pacific, including changes to their Aussie business

Global insurer Chubb has made three senior appointments for its business in Asia Pacific

Michael “Mick” Peacock, presently energy & technical lines manager for Australia & New Zealand, has been appointed to the role of head of energy & power, Asia Pacific.

In his new capacity, Peacock will relocate from Sydney to Singapore, and will report to Frazer. His responsibilities will include overseeing the inland transit portfolio.

Peacock, who joined legacy ACE in 2012 in his current role, is an experienced underwriter who held diverse underwriting and leadership roles in local and multinational insurers as well as the government.

Taking on Peacock’s role as the new energy & technical lines manager for Australia & New Zealand is Stephen Hanna, who is currently product head power for Australia & New Zealand.

In his new role, Hanna will report to Peacock and Peter Kelaher, head of property & casualty, Australia & New Zealand.

An engineer by training, Hanna joined legacy ACE in 2005 as senior regional engineer, energy & utilities. He became product head, power in 2011.

Michael Frazer, who is currently head of energy & technical lines, Asia Pacific, since 2012 has been promoted to head of property, Asia Pacific.

In his new role, Frazer will continue to be based in Singapore, and will report to Jason Keen, who he replaced having been recently promoted to regional head of property & casualty, Asia Pacific.

Frazer joined legacy ACE in 1999, and has since then acquired extensive leadership and underwriting experience in property, energy, and engineering. He holds a degree with a diploma in education, a Certificate IV in general insurance, and a diploma in general insurance.
