Crawford & Company (Crawford) has named Jonathan Hubbard president for Australia, effective from August 21, 2023.

Hubbard will replace current president Tim Jarman, who will retire at the end of the year after 43 years in the insurance industry, including 15 years with Crawford.

Hubbard (pictured) joined Crawford in 2016 as head of business improvement before taking on the role of chief client officer. For the past five years, he has served as one of Crawford's most senior executive adjusters within Crawford Global Technical Services.

Before joining Crawford, Hubbard spent 21 years at Cunningham Lindsey, where he held various serious management roles. He is a former director of the Australian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters.

Hubbard said that one of his priorities will be looking to tap into technology that Crawford has piloted worldwide.

“I am committed to accelerating innovation, with digital that simplifies, to make the claims process quicker and easier – this is key to client and policyholder satisfaction,” he said.

Hubbard’s “intimate knowledge” of Crawford’s Australian business and the local market was hailed by Andrew Bart, Crawford CEO of international operations.

“Jonathan has a proven track record of developing and growing business lines and their associated teams, with a focus on quality, technical ability, and customer service excellence. In addition, Jonathan's knowledge of our operation in Australia ensures a smooth and successful leadership transition,” Bart said.
