A former Lockton Australia (Lockton) leader has moved to global brokerage Gallagher to take on a new senior role.

Corey Tidey, former manager of power and energy at Lockton, took on the role of divisional director and head of natural resources at Gallagher.

Tidey has moved to Dubai as part of the new role at Gallagher, he said in a LinkedIn post.

“I am thrilled to announce that I have accepted a new role as Head of Natural Resources – Divisional Director MEA with Gallagher based in DIFC, Dubai,” Tidey wrote on LinkedIn. “This is an exciting opportunity, and I'm looking forward to working closely with the wider team in this new region and role.

“Thank you to everyone for their continued support along the way, in particular Nadim Semaan ACII, CIRM.”

Tidey is a seasoned insurance professional with experience across a range of industries. His specialties focus on the global insurance market, including underwriting, broking, consulting, and commercial client engagement. He has multi-jurisdictional insurance experience in Australia, Europe, and Asia.

What's new at Gallagher?

Gallagher recently acquired Melbourne-based brokerage Professional Insurance Solutions.

Professional Insurance Solutions is an authorised representative (AR) of Insurance Advisernet. As part of the agreement, the Professional Insurance Solutions team joined the global brokerage's workforce while using the Gallagher brand.

The deal expanded Gallagher's footprint in Victoria and followed the acquisition of Brisbane-based aviation-focused broker Aviation Insurance Australia and another Melbourne-based broker Smart Insurance Services (Smart).
