Global broker strengthens local capabilities with new boss

An international intermediary has appointed an experienced broker to head up one of its offices.

Willis Group has appointed Luke Ware to the role of state manager – South Australia, effective immediately.

Based in Adelaide, he reports to Neil Gray, general manager – Western Australia & South Australia.

In his new role, Ware has responsibility for Willis Adelaide’s day-to-day operations, and will play a key role in business development and underwriter dealings, as well as ensuring that local clients are provided with the full range of Willis’ global resources to meet their risk management needs.

Ware most recently worked for Willis in Perth, where he held the position of account director – corporate risks. He has considerable broking experience in both the Australian and London markets, having worked as a broker in the UK for a number of years.

He commenced his broking career in South Australia and further grew his strong knowledge of the local market while working for Willis Adelaide upon his return to Australia in 2009.
