IAG loses key executive

A major Australian insurer has announced the departure of a key executive for their business

IAG has announced that Claire Rawlins, group executive digital and technology, has left the business.

Rawlins was the leader of Digital Labs at the insurer and was responsible for driving innovation and simplifying core systems and processes at the business.

Peter Bonney has been announced as the new leader of Digital Labs on an interim basis having joined IAG from Deloitte Digital technology in 2015 to lead disruptive technology and architecture within the Labs business.

“I look forward to working with Peter to further refine our digital offering and to develop new and innovative ways to connect and engage with our customers and partners,” Peter Harmer, IAG managing director and CEO said of the move.

Rawlins joined IAG as group chief technology officer in June 2015 before she was promoted to the role of group CIO, having previously held positions at Woolworths, Air New Zealand and NBN Co.
