IAG’s Australian business division has appointed a new managing director to lead its combined broker authorised representative networks.

Paul Ayton will be responsible for leading IAG’s combined Westcourt General Insurance Brokers (WGIB) and National Adviser Services (NAS) business, effective 19 September.

Stuart Chapman, IAG EGM, niche and direct, said Ayton’s role was crucial for making the combined business the nation’s leading authorise representative broker business.

“I’m excited Paul will lead the combined business through the next stage of evolution and growth,” Chapman said.

“Under Paul’s guidance, we can continue the comprehensive review and make key decisions to progress the integration of these two very successful and complementary businesses.”

Ayton has worked for IAG for more than 16 years, most recently responsible for corporate partnering for IAG, and was general manager for Swann Insurance from 2011 to 2016.
