NSW insurer icare has launched the first of its four online industry hubs (ihubs) to provide manufacturing employers access to bespoke tools and resources that will help them manage workers’ compensation insurance anytime, anywhere.

icare said it strategically designed the ihubs to empower its employer customers who operate in four high-risk industries – manufacturing, construction, health and community services, and transport and storage.

“We’re looking to push further and deliver more relevant services as we gain a more sophisticated understanding of our market segments,” said Andrew Ziolkowski, group executive for prevention and underwriting.

The ihubs will be launched in two stages, starting off with the inaugural manufacturing ihub, to be followed by construction, transport, and health early next year. Feedback from employers on the manufacturing ihub will be used to improve the other ihubs prior to their launch.
