A team of 35 law professionals have jumped ship from one leading insurance law practice to another, it has been revealed.

The team from Sparke Helmore have confirmed they will join the Hall & Wilcox this month.

The mass move comes shortly after six partners - Grant Galvin, Simon Morgan, Rhett Slocombe, Daniel Stoddart, Nicholas Studdert and Joanna Turnbull - joined Hall & Wilcox from Sparke Helmore in April.

Along with the six new partners, the new Hall & Wilcox insurance team will comprise three special counsel and nine senior associates, eight lawyers and 16 law clerks, paralegals, administrative and support staff.

“The Hall & Wilcox insurance team is now one of the largest in Australia and is positioned to provide a compelling national service offering to a wide range of clients in the insurance sector.”

The new team members will be based in Hall & Wilcox’s Sydney and Newcastle offices and the majority of the team started with the firm this week.
