Suncorp Commercial Insurance has promoted pricing and analytics boss Catherine Ajaka to national manager for professional and financial risks.

She replaces Edward Rawnsley who was appointed to national manager, construction, surety and engineering, following Don McKenzie’s retirement.
Ajaka starts her new role on 6th October. During her six years at Suncorp, she has worked in variety of pricing and portfolio roles across Suncorp CI, including workers’ compensation, SME packages and fleet motor.
She currently heads up the pricing and analytics team in the commercial portfolio & underwriting management division. Suncorp said she played a key role in the development of its general insurance pricing engine for both short- and long-tail classes of business.

“Catherine has repeatedly demonstrated strong leadership and sharp acumen in her roles to date and is ideally placed to ensure the professional and financial risks continue to deliver the necessary expertise,” said Darren O’Connell, executive general manager, commercial portfolio & underwriting management at Suncorp.
