Authorised representative distributor Resilium, part of the Suncorp Group, has launched Resilium Insurance Broking (RIB), a licensed insurance broker.

Greg Arms has been appointed managing director of the new RIB business. He was previously general manager of partner development at Austbrokers, where he has been for the last 17 years. 

Resilium MD Gerard McDermott said the new business model will enhance the value proposition of insurance advisers and will provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ access to comprehensive general insurance.

“Resilium advisers are a critical part of our current and future distribution strategy and advisers who join the RIB business will have the opportunity to enhance their customer offering,” he added.

He said of Arms: “Greg is a well-respected, senior general insurance broker executive, with extensive experience and strong established relationships across the Australian market.

"With his background he is ideally positioned as the managing director of this new channel.”
