A director of the board of ASX-listed insurer insurer Tower has resigned effective today after two years of service.

Rebecca Dee-Bradbury cited a ‘conflict of priority and schedules’ for the reason behind her resignation, the company said in a statement to the market this morning.

Dee-Bradbury joined the board in August 2014 and has sat on the both the Audit and Risk and Remuneration and Appointments committees.

Tower chairman Michael Stiassny said Dee-Bradbury had been a valued member of the board.

“Rebecca has made a significant contribution to helping Tower refocus on its core business and we thank her for having such a positive impact,” he said.

Dee-Bradbury said she wished the best for the board and the Tower management team.

“I appreciate the opportunity to have served with such a committed chairman and board and am excited for Tower’s future plans.

“It is regrettable that a conflict of priority and schedules means I have needed to resign,” she said.

Tower said the search for an independent director to join the board had now commenced.

The board was also quick to stress that in the immediate aftermath of Dee-Bradbury’s resignation the board still retained the required number of independent directors under NSX listing rules and its own constitution.
