Kennedys bolsters insurance practice with appointment spree

Kennedys Law has announced that a team of 12 professionals (pictured above) has joined their new partner, Lucinda Lyons (pictured below). The appointments, said a media release, bolster the firm's insurance practice and add depth to its existing sector knowledge.

The release said the entire team were formerly with Clyde & Co and arrive with a wealth of collective experience, having collaborated for several years.

New Kennedys team members

Among the new additions is Con Kakakios, serving as special counsel. With an extensive background spanning 23 years in liability defence, Kakakios has managed a diverse range of civil liability personal injury claims, including catastrophic injury and death claims. He holds accreditation as a specialist in personal injury law.

“I'm so pleased to have the team join me at Kennedys,” said Lyons. “Collectively, I know we will bring so much to the firm, and we are looking forward to working with Kennedys' colleagues and clients around the firm's global network.”

James Melvin, managing partner of Kennedys' Sydney office, said the appointees will enhance the firm's growing and well-respected team of legal experts.

“We are delighted that Lucinda and her team have joined Kennedys,” he said.

Lyons joined Kennedys as a new partner last month. She moved to Kennedys from Clyde & Co, where she held the positions of managing partner for Australia and head of their insurance practice in the country.
