Kristy Taylor, senior claims adjuster at HDI Global SE Australia, has been named one of Insurance Business Australia's Rising Stars for 2023.
IB identified the Australian insurance industry's rising stars by inviting professionals from across the country to nominate their most exceptional young talent (35 years old or under as of Oct. 31, 2023). The nominees must be working in a role that related to, interacted with, or impacted the general insurance industry. They must also have committed to a career in insurance with a clear passion for the industry.
As part of the winner selection process, the IB team asked the nominees about their current role, achievements, career goals, and contributions to the industry. It also considered recommendations from managers and senior industry professionals.
After reviewing all nominations, the IB team narrowed the list down to 45 of the Australian insurance industry's most outstanding young professionals.
As a senior claims adjuster, Taylor manages some of the most complex and challenging property, construction, and engineering claims.

Despite being a young talent, Taylor is a mentor for junior staff and plays a role in portfolio allocation for all staff with property, construction, and engineering portfolios. She actively participates in various initiatives within the organisation – including the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee – and serves as a global claims champion for the Australian offices.
