Latest ANZIIF scholarship program launched
ANZIIF and law firm TurksLegal have announced the launch of their latest scholarship.

The 2015 ANZIIF TurksLegal Claims Scholarship will recognise excellence in general insurance with entrants required to submit a 2,500 word essay answering one of five questions asked about the industry.

The winner will be given the choice between an overseas conference package valued up to $8,000, including registration to the 2016 Claims Conference & Insurance Service Expo in the USA, flights, accommodation and $500 spending money, or $5,000 cash and registration to the 2016 ANZIIF Claims Convention with flights and accommodation.

The scholarship runner-up will be awarded flights and accommodation, alongside registration, to the 2016 ANZIIF Claims Convention.

“We are thrilled to offer this significant career development opportunity to a member of the Australian insurance community,” said Prue Willsford, CEO of ANZIIF, who will be on the judging panel.

“This Scholarship will not only enhance the winner’s understanding of the industry in a global context but will help them to develop their leadership skills and allow them to represent Australia among their international counterparts.”

Submissions will be judged by an expert panel including Simone Dossetor, head of Calliden Insurance, James Flaskett, assistant vice president, regional claims manager at Chubb, EGM claims at IAG Commercial Claims, Jennifer Mitchell and technical counsel at CGU, Chris Rodd.

The winner will be announced at the ANZIIF General Insurance Breakfast held in Sydney in Novemeber.
