A ceremony for Remembrance Day 2023 was held at the Lloyd’s underwriting room in London on November 10.

In a release, the centuries-old insurance marketplace said: “Lloyd’s chairman Bruce Carnegie-Brown welcomed War Widows and Far East Prisoners of War as esteemed guests for the service, including Nicholas Lyons, the outgoing Lord Mayor of London, Chelsea Pensioners, and representatives of the Royal British Legion Lloyd’s and City Branch.

“A Guard of Honour was provided by HMS President Royal Naval Reserve, The Rifles (7 Rifles), the Reserve Infantry Battalion of London, and the South East and City of London NE Sector Army Cadet Force. Members of the Lloyd’s Military network were also in attendance.”

Bringing together the Lloyd’s Market, the event also featured a performance by the Lloyd’s Choir, wreath laying, the ringing of the Lutine Bell, and the Last Post bugle call.
