Lloyd’s has announced the appointment of Dawn Miller as commercial director. Miller will report to Patrick Tiernan, Lloyd’s chief of markets. She will take her position at Lloyd’s in the second quarter and will be based in London.

Miller joins the company from Chubb, where she currently serves as regional executive officer for Chubb Central Region (Switzerland, Turkey and MENA) and country president for Switzerland.

In her new role, Miller will oversee Lloyd’s global network across the Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East and Africa. She will be responsible for distribution, market development, and global engagement with brokers and new entrants. She will also be responsible for innovation at Lloyd’s, including the Lloyd’s Lab.

Miller has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. She has held leadership positions at AXA, AIG and Willis. Miller began her career in Washington, D.C., and has since held senior positions in London, New York, Dubai, San Francisco and Zurich.
