A global commercial property insurer has announced leadership changes in its international business.

FM Global named James Galloway as executive vice president and Gerry Alonso as senior vice president and division manager of AFM, which provides commercial property insurance for the middle market. Both will be based in the company’s corporate offices in Johnston, Rhode Island.

As EVP, Galloway will oversee FM Global’s international operations and AFM, succeeding Chris Johnson, who retired from the company after 40 years of service. Galloway has been with FM Global since 1986, first as a loss prevention consultant and most recently as senior VP and AFM division manager.

Alonso, currently FM Global’s Eastern USA division manager, will commence his dual role in February. He joined the company in 1985 as an engineering consultant, and has since then held various roles, including in claims management.
