Major brokerage inks national deal

A global brokerage has inked a deal with a major national association, it has been announced.

Arthur J. Gallagher has been announced as the official insurance broker for Restaurant & Catering Australia (R&CA), the national association representing 35,000 restaurants, cafes in caterers in Australia.

The deal will give R&CA members access to the global network of AJG brokers in a bid to aid a variety of insurance needs for a growing sector.

National strategic partnerships manager at Arthur J. Gallagher, Tania O’Day, said the partnership will benefit R&CA members thanks to the brokers specialised hospitality practice.

“With a global network of experienced hospitality brokers and based on the success of our restaurant insurance product, we are excited to rekindle our partnership with Restaurant & Catering Australia,” O’Day said.

“We strive to understand our client’s needs and provide them with proactive solutions, so that they are well placed to financially survive any insurable event."

R&CA CEO John Hart also welcomed the partnership, as the Benchmarking Report from the assosciation noted that 4-7% of overall business costs are attributed to insurance.

“R&CA is thrilled Arthur J. Gallagher will offer members competitively priced insurance and related products and services including but not limited to public liability, fire & damage, business interruption, theft, income protection plus workers compensation, home, car & contents,” Hart said.

“R&CA works tirelessly to link members with educational tools, products and services to help efficiently manage costs, encourage savings and at the same time, grow turnover.

“The key cost component is naturally insurance products.”
