Major player strengthens industry-leading team

An international brokerage has strengthened its marine risk team with two new additions.

Arthur J Gallagher has boosted its marine risk team with the appointment of two additional specialists, it has been announced.

Jim Metters and Mark Rudman will join AJG as principal broker and client manager respectively.

Metters’ career spans over 40 years with brokerages such as Marsh and he will now join the Sydney-based team headed by marine practice leader, Alan Wilkins.

“Arthur J. Gallagher is the largest marine insurance broker in Australia, and Jim’s knowledge and experience of marine insurance is an invaluable addition to help us go from strength to strength in advising clients in the maritime and logistics sectors,” Wilkins said of the appointment.

Rudman will join the practice in February and has 13 years’ experience within the marine industry and will lead the provision of high quality service to marine clients.

Mark Oatway, head of corporate broking at AJG, spoke highly of the two new appointments and believes the hires show the depth of experience AJG can offer in the marine space.
