A former National Australia Bank head has been appointed to CEO of ANZIIF, replacing Joan Fitzpatrick.

She will officially begin her role with the Institute on the 23rd October, after completing a hand-over process with Fitzpatrick.

Willsford has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector, including management accounting at Macquarie Bank and policy development at Investment Funds and Superannuation Association.

Willsford is currently the deputy chancellor of Victoria University and the chairman of the resources committee and a board member at Citywide Service Solutions.

She has also held leadership roles in financial services product development, marketing and operations at Colonial Mutual and National Australia Bank, where she was head of investment products. Willsford was the general manager, corporate operations at state trustees.

“We are thrilled to welcome Prue to the Institute,” said Institute president Jonathon Fox. “She brings with her a wealth of knowledge, experience and leadership gleaned from more than two decades as a senior executive in the financial services industry. I have no doubt she will be a valuable asset to our organisation.”
