OMD Australia has appointed the head of its Suncorp account.
OMD has been managing the media planning and buying for Suncorp’s network of brands, including Suncorp, AAMI, GIO, and APIA, since it won the account late last year.
Now Declan O’Dwyer has been named new head of Suncorp account, reporting to Kim Hamilton, OMD Sydney managing director, mumbrella reported.
“We’ve been searching for the perfect candidate to lead Suncorp and Declan is exactly what we’ve been looking for,” said Aimee Buchanan, CEO of OMD Australia. “His strong leadership qualities and vast industry experience position him perfectly to be a true asset to both Suncorp and the OMD team. We’re delighted he is joining Team OMD.”
Prior to the appointment, O’Dwyer spent more than five years at UM. He started out in 2014 as an associate communications director and held roles including client director, senior client director, and group director for Coca-Cola and Lion Beer, mumbrella said.
