Brokers still have a week to register for the NIBA Young Professionals breakfast before the Brisbane Underwriting Expo on July 17, held from 7:30 to 9 am, at the Royal International Convention Centre.
The breakfast, worth 1 NIBA CPD point, will feature a panel discussion on the insurance landscape, with Lyndon Turner, UAC chair and managing director and CEO of NM Insurance, NIBA CEO Dallas Booth, Steadfast executive GM partner and broker services Nicholas Cook, and Austcover CEO Maria Parry participating as panellists.
The panel will talk about the impacts, risks, and outcomes from the financial services royal commission, the hardening insurance market, emerging trends and risks, and what’s on the horizon.
Lunch after the expo, to be held on the same venue, from noon to 3:30 pm, will feature UAC-sponsored guest speaker, magician Brad Manuel, and will include presentations of the NIBA Queensland Broker and Young Broker of the Year awards.
